New Years Eve 2007
The Lulworth Beach House welcomes you to New Years Eve by the sea.
For those of
you who have not been down to us at the hotel we are located by Lulworth
cove. The hotel has a great seafood and game restaurant, which is fully
licensed.
New Years
Eve
Please arrive at the hotel any time during the day. The restaurant will
be open and we will be serving a winter lunch menu around the log fires.
There is plenty of time to go for a bracing walk along the cliff tops
or down to the many coves and beaches around us. A winter cream tea
will be served after the walks, or pub, at 4.00 in the afternoon and
then you will be able to relax until the black tie dinner starts. At
7.00 in the evening there will be cocktails served in the upstairs lounge
and on the terrace over looking the Cove. (Weather permitting.) With
dinner served from 7.30 pm.
After
dinner there will be a bar and disco with DJ in Bishop's next door where
we will dance the night away until the early hours. At 1200, the witching
hour for the New Year, time for Champagne and resolutions. Give up smoking,
lose weight, never vote Labour again and so on.
New
Years Day
It is, in my humble opinion, pointless to serve breakfast at 8.00 in
the morning so we will serve breakfast from 10.00 am until 12.00 pm.
Bacon butties and the usual array of hang over cures will be available.
A private clay pigeon shoot is arranged and any who want to take part
are more than welcome to join us. Alternatively you can go and follow
the South Dorset Hunt up at Lulworth Castle. Golf is always an option
so is a hack on horseback through the woods. The Sailors return or the
Castle Inn serve a mean lunch and then there is always the option of
the War film in the lounge with a cup of tea.
